Gold prices in Pakistan saw a decrease on Tuesday, mirroring a drop in the international market. The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported a decline of Rs500 per tola, bringing the price down to Rs240,300. This comes after a previous increase of Rs800 on Monday.
The 10-gram gold price also felt the pinch, falling by Rs429 to Rs206,018. The international gold rate mirrored this trend, dropping $4 to settle at $2,339 per ounce (with a premium of $20).
While gold prices dipped, silver prices remained steady at Rs2,800 per tola. It’s important to note that local prices can fluctuate slightly, so it’s always a good idea to shop around for the best deals.
This recent decrease comes after a record high was reached last month, with gold hitting Rs252,200 per tola in the Pakistani market.
